I thought that today seemed like a great day to shout out a big THANKS for some blog awards I’ve received, but also give them away to some older blog friends and some newer blog friends! So here we go. (And there is a good chance I’ve forgotten some I tried my best to keep tract but that is not my strength and yes this is a run on.)
So Thanks to Kris (and one other person but I forget) for the Lovely Blogger Award.
I’d like to present this award to:
Susan at A Walk in My Shoes
Sherrie at Write About Now
Thanks to Laura Marcella for the Wise Writer award!
And I’d like to present this award to:
Jody Hedlund (who has her first book out!)
James Killick (a kicking new blog I recently discovered)
I’d like to thank Andrea for the Circle of Friends Award!
And I’d like to give this award to:
Jennifer Hoffine at YA Audiobook Addict
Katie at Creepy Query Girl
And a final thanks to Jennifer Hoffine for the Cherry on top/Rainbow award!
And this award goes to:
Angela at The Bookshelf Muse
Julie Musil
Yeah, I have a tendency to break rules when it comes to blog awards. I think with some of them I’m supposed to share stuff about myself. So, what do you want to know? Ask away. (Or just say congrats and go visit the awesome blogs above!)
Will do! ;:0)
Congrats on all the awards! You deserve them!
Congrats to the winners!!!
Congrats and thank you 🙂
Congrats to you and the winners!. 🙂
And good for you for breaking the rules. I’ve done that too. 🙂
Congrats, Laura! And congrats to all the people you’ve passed the awards on to.
Have a great day!
Thank you so much Laura! YOu are such a great supporter of bloggers and writers and deserve every blog award and good thing that comes your way. 🙂
I was here last night, commenting on your last post when my computer decided to have a brain fart and shut down. I was so excited to see you talk about finding the worst possible character for the plot, because I’m a plot first, character second kind of girl, and this is the very same advice Agent/Author Many Hubbard gave in a post during the WriteOnCon http://writeoncon.com/2010/08/creating-memorable-characters/ that gave me a total, Ah-HA! moment. Looks like you have had the same one.
With people who create characters first, they need to think about what is the worst thing that could happen to this person? But for us who write plot first, we need to think, who is the worst possible person for this to happen to?
Anyway, I really wanted to comment as characters have been a struggle for me and I felt this line of thought is what created a bit of a breakthrough for me 🙂

It’s always great getting awards, makes you feel appreciated.
Thanks for the award, Laura. I am very pleased with myself! And congratulations to everybody else.
Congratulations on your awards AND thank you for sharing one with me. I appreciate it! (and what good company I’m in…awesome bloggers all around)
Thanks everyone! Really all my blogger friends deserve awards! Whoever didn’t get one this time will the next time!!
Thanks Laura! Very appropriate since we met through Critique Circle.
Yay! Congrats, Laura! And congrats to the blogs you’ve passed the awards on to! I’ll look forward to checking them out!
Hi Laura, I think I was the “one other person”. I buried my award-giving in a comment somewhere, but seeing all the comments you get and all the well-deserved awards you’ve been stacking up, I can understand one or two slipping the net.
Now off to check out some of the blogs you mentioned.
awe, I LOVE that award! Thanks so much for thinking of me and congrats on all that blog bling! Sorry it took me so long to come n collect- just got in from the U.S.:)
Thank you so much! I’ve been on a little break, and when I came back to this I smiled. Thanks for the encouragement, and congrats to you on all of your awards. I hope to be back in the swing of blogging next week. Look forward to catching up with you.
